Is this ASMR?

However, I hope it's an interesting one to read.

When i was around 16, I went and had a Reiki session done on me. and afterwards, when I came home, and for a few months afterwards, things were different.

I began to get a tingling sensation on my head, and I didn't know what it was. My mom told me it was caused by my crown chakra, and it would sometimes feel as though I had a cap on my head, a ring around my head. My scalp would tingle and at first I thought, hey, maybe my hair is moving, but, my hair wasn't moving.

It freaked me out a lot, I thought perhaps I was becoming psychic (sorry if that sounds weird), and I would feel chills in my house, so I thought it was haunted.

After a while, I realized that the sensations I was having, weren't correlating with any phenomena (paranormal) outside of myself, and were more random than they should've been if there was an actual entity trying to speak with me, so, eventually, I calmed down and began to ignore my tingles in order not to be freaked out anymore.

I still remember a few nights though, back then, where I laid in my bed and it felt as though my head was on FIRE. Like, there was a ring of fire around my head.

It was really....strange.

But, I just got head-tingles reading the bible tonight. It usually happens when I'm thinking about God, (which is strange), or about paranormal stuff (maybe because it upsets me due to my experiences).

I'll also get them if I think about someone that has passed away, but I think I could induce them whenever I wanted as well.

So I guess they've taken on a spiritual aspect for me, since I had no other way to explain them until now.

Your thoughts?

Adam: wow !!!! thats EXACTLY how some of my asmr triggers work ... reading spiritual texts, i can communicate with people who have passed away by thinking about them i only get asmr though, no third eye pictures or clair-audience ect, but just intence asmr as a sorta confirmation and lots more triggers, both spiritual and non spiritual ... remember never to be afraid of asmr, its TOTALY on your side pure love, no fear your post reminds me of a few radio 1 playlist tunes that have been triggering me asmr over the past year

Adam: Absolutly !! so much so i could talk for hours and hours about it kate asmr is absolutly spiritual the sun seems to be rising on humanity happy days purely by the way i see asmr as having a certain intelligence at times (when reading it'll kick in on certain lines/paragraphs ect,) its kicked in strong when reading the bible with me aswell (im not christian, and only picked it up a few times really, but asmr has had me interested in a whole manner of spiritual texts, and it kicks in whenever it wants ..., i think these dudes n jesus really existed, but i reckon they were just average joes like us who were spiritual rather than the way biblical followers interpret the script
